| BUDGET/REDUCTION IN FORCE UPDATES |

Good afternoon PCEA members,
A meeting was held yesterday afternoon by the County Executive to discuss the proposed FY 2010 Budget. The County is required by Charter to present a proposed budget to the County Council by close of business yesterday. During this meeting Mr. Johnson outlined a plan to address a possible deficet of $112 million dollars. This plan did include a Reduction in Force and Furlough hours for 2010 Budget year. This proposed plan did not include any additional revenues or money from the stimulus package the County could receive by the close of the State legislative session. The County has several proposals before the General Assembly that could have an effect on the 2010 Budget.
Please keep in mind this budget proposal is based on the Counties fiscal position today and things could change if the County gets any additional funds from the State.
